Festival volunteers work in a variety of areas including:
Concert ushers – The Festival presents about one concert each month and a
variety of performances during the festival week in April. We rely on you as
volunteer ushers not only in the typical duties of tearing tickets, showing
patrons to their seats, guarding the stage door, giving directions, helping at
will-call ticket desks, and assisting in post-concert receptions on the day of
performances, etc. You also provide a welcoming presence and ultimately become a
part of the appreciative audience.
Artist Hosts – The Festival invites guests from all over the US and abroad. You
can provide musicians a “home away from home” by becoming a host family.
Bach Shop – The Festival sells paraphernalia with the season’s motif at
performances. Volunteers are needed to assist in the sales of these items.
Office Assistance – Our team of volunteers works with the Bach Festival office
with phone calls and mailings, shares technical know-how with computers and
audio equipment, creates and distributes printed materials, works with host
families or becomes host families, and provides and assists with refreshments at
rehearsals and parties.
Fundraiser – you can make a direct impact on the Festival by developing new
sources of funding.
